Good cast admittedly Niall. But what the point, really? It just brings me down to be honest; endless re-makes of classic films that just do not need to be done again-ever. Is it any wonder that I watch less films than ever before? I know that it’s nothing new, before others rush in with lists of all the re-makes, but it’s time they stopped. Please stop, film re-makers. You know who you are.
No reflection on you mate, not shooting the messenger. Cheers, Pete.

Remakes used to bother me a lot until it was pointed out to me that The Maltese Falcon is a remake. In fact, it was the third version of the story. And as annoying as it is to do a remake rather than make something original, at best one can hope that the new version will bring people to the old version

I knew about ‘The Maltese Falcon’ Niall, and a lot of the others too. Maybe there is room for re-makes, if they bring new viewers, just not in my lifetime though. (Brighton Rock?)
Can they wait until I am dead, do you think? It won’t be that long now.
Cheers, Pete.
