Blood and Guts but Little Glory: Ironclad

By Niall McArdle

I took a look at the medieval gore-fest Ironclad as part of MovieRob’s Genre Grandeur on war movies for the month of August.

IroncladCheck out the review here.

Ironclad is sort of like the banquet at Bunratty Castle, but with more severed limbs.

  1. I love this film! I am not ashamed to say that I actually own the DVD!
Purefoy, Cox, big swords, and a real (Rochester) castle; what’s not to like? Unashamedly one for the boys.
Your review nails it completely Niall, but I would still love it either way. A guilty pleasure, along with ‘Arn- Knight Templar’ and many others.
    Best wishes, Pete.
