T.S. Eliot wrote that April is the cruelest month, but really it’s the bloggiest month
Although we are still in the grip of winter and April seems a long way off – the fecking groundhog has yet to pop out to tell us if we’re in for even more of the cold stuff – you can already sign up for 2015 A to Z Challenge.
The A to Z Challenge has been running for a few years, and it’s really quite simple: in April bloggers are asked to write a post every day (except Sundays), one post for each letter of the alphabet.
More information is here. You can post on any topic you want – some bloggers like to give themselves a theme. I haven’t quite decided what I’ll blog about this year, but I think I’ll choose a theme as it might be easier to focus – last year I was all over the place.
I wanted to sign up and let you know because there are a lot of other blogging challenges and blogathons coming up – like MovieRob’s inspired month-long celebration of Rob Reiner – and I know it can be a little overwhelming. Coming up with a different post every day is harder than it seems, but I do urge you to take part in the A to Z Challenge as it’s lots of fun and you’ll find lots other bloggers.
Speaking of blogging challenges, there’s another one you need to know about. With the wonderful Cathy of 746 Books I will be co-hosting a very special blogathon in March. An official announcement will be coming soon, but in the meantime, here are a few hints:
UPDATE: Okay, if you’re stumped by the pictures …. the connection is Ireland. 746 Books and The Fluff is Raging are co-hosting Ireland Reads 2015 (or The Begorrathon, if you prefer) to celebrate Irish culture during the month of March.
