The Bourne Ultimatum: imdb top 250 review

Cinema Parrot Disco‘s IMDB Top 250 Challenge continues, and I contributed a review of the third film in the Jason Bourne trilogy.

You can read my thoughts on the film here.

Matt Damon starred as Jason Bourne three times before handing off the franchise to Jeremy Renner (The Bourne Legacy).

Damon and director Paul Greengrass will return to make a fifth Bourne movie: I’m not really sure if this is necessary or how they can expand the story, which I felt came to a fitting end in The Bourne Ultimatum.

  1. ‘Watching TV the old fashioned way.’ That will be this old git then Niall. Still to catch up with the ‘streaming revolution’.
Damon actually works as Bourne. He is detached, machine-like, and in a strange way, believable. Not so Renner, who I don’t mind as such, but they should have left it where they did.
Good review mate, all true and accurate (as always) and despite my dislike of sequels (and re-makes) I do actually enjoy all the Damon ‘Bournes’. ( Especially when they are constantly repeated on the ‘old way’ of watching TV)
    Cheers mate, Pete.
