Based on the novel by Michael Punke, The Revenant is going to be a serious awards contender when it is released later this year.
Could this finally be the one that brings Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar, or will he once again have to pretend to be happy for someone else before he goes home to cry into a supermodel’s lap?

Reminded me somewhat of ‘Jeremiah Johnson’. But much grimier of course. Looks pretty good.

Mah, I don’t know. Can’t say I can’t wait to see the film. From the trailer, I’m not even sure what I should expect from it.
I hadn’ realised DiCaprio never won an Oscar. That’s pritty strange, he’s a brilliant actor.

i’m more intrigued by the cinematography than anything else (apparently the whole thing was done in natural light)
