Marvel will continue its spandex grip on moviegoers and TV viewers in 2016 with several projects, including the film debut of one of its, er, stranger creations, sorcerer Doctor Strange.
The former surgeon will be played by Benedict Cumberbatch. Marvel has revealed little of the movie’s plot, but the studio has confirmed that Mads Mikkelsen is playing the villain, another magician who battles Strange and Strange’s mentor, the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton).
According to Entertainment Weekly, Marvel won’t even reveal the villain’s name, noting that the Internet has bandied a few names around, but that nobody has yet guessed correctly. Mikkelsen is no stranger (sorry) to playing villains, having chewed his way through three seasons of Hannibal.
Doctor Strange arrives in movie theaters in November.

Spandex looks so uncomfortable, I wonder how the actors cope wearing it.
