  1. I’m learning this now. I completely missed the news yesterday.
    I didn’t, dind’t expect this. It is a great loss.
    I work in a universtiy bookshop in Italy and I know fully well professor’s Eco contribution to studies, as well as his novelist’s work. Some of his books are truly enlightening for anyone interested in storytelling.

  2. I haven’t read all of his books, but I have a hardback of ‘The Name of The Rose’ which has side panels illustrating the layout of the monastery. I have read it a couple of times, and it is one of my favourite possessions. In fact, it is one of only two things I insisted on having returned to me, after my first divorce!
